W Tully

Notes:
The 1911 Census shows a William Tully, aged 19 and a Coal Miner, living with his family at 30l Higher Parr Street, St Helens. This also shows that he was born in Skelmersdale. There is an entry in SDGW for a William Tully born in Litherland, Lancashire, who Died of Wounds of 14th June 1916 while serving with the 10th Bn of the King's Royal Rifle Corps. It has not been possible to link these with any degree of certainty and to say that this is the 'W Tully' inscribed on the cenotaph.
