Also at the address are servants Walter Rea (27), Lizzie Rea (23), Agnes Saville (24), Beatrice Mills (18), Clara Heckett (38), Flora Barnis (18). 1911 - Sees 15 years old 'Naval Cadet' John based at Royal Naval College, Osborne, Whippingham, Isle of Wight.

Ambuscade.[/caption] John Reynolds-Peyton was appointed a Midshipman on 15 May 1914, promoted to Sub-Lieutenant in November 1916, an Acting Lieutenant from January 1918 and Lieutenant in Janaury 1918. As a Lieutenant aboard the destroyer Ambuscade, he died of influenza and pneumonia on 4 November 1918, aged 22 years. He was the son of James and Alice Reynolds-Peyton of 37 Augusta Gardens, Folkestone, Kent. He was buried in Windsor Cemetery, Berkshire. His father James Reynolds-Peyton held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Leitrim and the office of High Sheriff of County Leitrim in 1879. He was also the Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Leitrim. Ireland. His mothers father was Major John Edward Riley who gained the rank of Major in the service of the 88th Connaught Rangers. His grandfather John Reynolds Peyton, born 1803 was also High Sheriff of County Leitrim in 1830 and his Great Grandfather John Peyton, gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1800 in the service of the Leitrim Militia. The family line can be traced back to John Bourchier, 2nd Earl of Bath and beyond.
