1891 - 5 years old 'Scholar' Peter is living at The Commercial Inn, Lindale with parents William (36 an Innkeeper/farmer), Margaret (31) and three siblings: John A (7), Margaret E (3), Robert E (2 mths). Also at the address are servants Timothy Pennington (64) and Elizabeth Martin (21). 1901 - 15 years old 'Servant / Farm Labourer' Peter is boarding at Eskrigg End, Old Hutton with the Hudson family. 1911 - Peter Allen was a 24 year old boarder at 101 Greenfield Road, St Helens with the Hudson family. He was employed as a Police Constable.

Addess confirmed by AVL. First enlisted 13/12/1907 at Liverpool. Medal Index Card states his name as "Percy", also confirming that he sailed for France on 13/08/1914
