Marriage: 21/12/1901 Walter Doyle to Kate Louisa Turner (widow) at Featherstone, All Saints. Vol 9c - Page 195. Grooms Father's Name: Edward Doyle. Brides Father's Name: Thomas Prescott. The couple seem to be separated before 1911 and although he names Kate at enlistment she cannot be found.

The household consisted of stepfather John Sennett (45), mother Maria Sennett (44) and siblings: Patrick Doyle (18), Leo Doyle (16) and half sister Elizabeth Sennett (7). 1911 - Sees 31 years old married 'Coal Miner - Dataler' Walter boarding at 4 Tannery Cottages, Elephant Lane, St Helens with the Guest family: Henry Guest (41), Emma Guest (38), Thomas Henry Guest (15), Elsie Guest (9), Lillian Emma Guest (3), Harriet Ada Guest (7 mths).
