Lieut Arthur Clarence Forster was the brother of Capt J S Forster. Like his brother he served for 4 Years in the Denbighshire (Yeomanry) Hussars. He was mobilised on declaration of war in 1914 and obtained his commision in October 1914. He was attached to the 1st West Lancs Royal Field Artillery Headquarters in Liverpool. Dangerously wounded in France on March the 3rd 1916. Slightly wounded at Givenchy (France) April 9th 1918. Dangerously Wounded and Gassed at Givenchy (France) April 18th 1918 whilst with the 175th R.F.A (55th Division) Discharged as unfit for further Service January 1918. From the Cowley Schools Roll Of Honour:- Served for 4 Years before the War with the Denbigshire (Yeomanry) Hussars, was mobilised on declaration of War 1914. Obtained commission October 1914, and attached to 1st West Lancs Royal Field Artillery Headquarters in Liverpool. Served in France with the 275th Royal Field Artillery, 57th Division. Was killed in Action at Boiry, 23rd August 1918.
