Census shows that he was born in Prescot. 1901 census - 9 years old Frederick W Harrison is living at 98 Liverpool Road, St Helens, with his father George (36, a butcher), mother Annie (36, a school mistress), great-grandmother Mary A Bangs (76, appears to be spelt "Baings" on the census but is spelt "Bangs" on the family grave and in the death index), and two siblings, Tom J (2) and Charles G (6 months); also a servant, Mary A Marsh (17). 1911 census - 19 years old Frederick William is a blacksmith, living at 74 Dilloway Street, St Helens, with his father George (40), mother Annie (40), and three siblings, George Bannister (14), Johnson (12, presumably the same as Tom J on the previous census) and Charles (10).
