Samuel had married John's sister Jane in 1895 1911 - Sees 26 years old 'Coal Miner (hewer)' John living at 21 Sandon Street, Thatto Heath, St Helens with wife Annie (34), child Arthur Long (2) and step children Ralph Shenton (10), Thomas Shenton (8), Mary Shenton (5).
