1901 - 4 years old Thomas is living at back 179 City Road, St Helens with parents Thomas (35), Ellen (32) and four siblings: William (13), James (10), Florrie (8), Edith (2). 1911 - Sees 14 years old 'Glass Works Apprentice Cutter' Thomas living at 29 Seddon Street, St Helens with parents Thomas (45), Ellen (42) and four siblings: William (23), James (20), Florrie (18), Edith (12).

Thomas was christened at St Mark's, North Rd on 21.6.1896. His parents were Thomas (a labourer) and Ellen of 179 City Rd. In 1911 they lived at 29 Seddon St and Thomas was an apprentice cutter at a glass works. His battalion was formed in St Helens on 1.9.1914, moved to Bangor in Feb 1915 and then to Grantham in May 1915. There is a death registered for Thomas Beesley, age 19, at Grantham in the 2nd quarter of 1915. He was buried in St Helens Cemetery on 21.6.1915. Both his parents died in 1921 and were buried in the same grave.
