Wounded at Courcelette during the Somme offensive. Died the same day of the wounds. His leg was blown off at the knee. This man had previously served in the 101st. The war diary states that he was a stretcher bearer and that that he is a severe loss to the Battalion. He was a Miner in Civilian Life.
