1881 - Less than 1 years old Sylvester is living at 4 Cross Street, Widnes with parents John (27), Catherine (26) and two siblings: Elizabeth (5), John (3). 1891 - 10 years old schoolboy Sylvester is living at 45 Brynn Street, St Helens with parents John (37), Kate (36) and four siblings: Elizabeth (15), John James (13), Joseph (3), Austin (1). Boarding at the address are Robert Grant (24) and John McCulloch (27). 1901 - Not found. Possibly serving in the South African campaign. 1911 - Sees 30 years old 'Packing Case Maker' Sylvester living at house 21 in Rotterdam Street (Pottinger (part of), Down), Ireland with wife Janney (28) and children Austin (2), Catherine (1). Jane's name is incorrectly transcribed as 'Henny Carey ' in the 1911 Ireland census.
