Son William was born at Cork, Ireland in 1897. Samuel was 12 years in the military and possibly posted overseas in 1901. 1911 - Sees 35 years old 'Coal Miner Hewer' Samuel, wife of 14 years Annie (33) and son William (14) boarding at 113 Lyon Street, St Helens with the Cheetham family.
