Also at the address is boarder William Mulholland (32). 1911 - Sees 15 years old 'Pawnbroker' George still living at 149 Windleshaw Road, St Helens with parents Thomas (48), Edith M (48) and five siblings: Thomas (24), [cas=449]William Crooks[/cas] (22), Elsie (18), Nellie (12), Norman (8).


Notes:
[note=38] Two Crooks Brothers who died in The Great War[/note] Enlisted 16/11/1915. Discharged 17/10/1917 (G.S.Wounds - Abdomen) [s][b]George Owen Crooks is not commemorated on the CWGC site.[/b] We have obtained his death certificate and have sent all details and evidence to CWGC. We are still waiting for them to commemorate George Owen-Crooks on their site.[/s] [box][b]08/02/2014[/b] - George Owen Crooks is now commemorated by CWGC and his name has been added to the United Kingdom Book of Remembrance.
