Also at the address is servant Mary A Moyers (16).

Service Number:Mersey Z/38 Notes:Born February 27th 1897 (declared 1896 on enlistment), in St. Ann's, St. Helens, Lancashire, the second son of James Ormrod Ellison and Annie Elizabeth (nee Robinson) Ellison, of Laurel Bank, Tarbock Road, Huyton, Lancs. Resided with parents on enlistment. He was educated at Ashton-in-Makerfield Grammar School, and was unmarried. On the outbreak of war he was articled as an apprentice electrical engineer. Buried Chatby War Memorial Cemetery, Alexandria, by Rev. S.H. Doorbar. Photo in de Ruvigny's Roll of Honour, Volume I, page 125. ================== Able Seaman Z/38 Howe Battalion Royal Naval Division Reginald was the son of James Ormrod and Anne Elizabeth Ellison of Laurel Bank, Tarbock Road, Huyton. He enlisted at Liverpool (Mersey) to join the Royal Navy and served in the Howe Battalion of the Royal Naval Division, which was one of the twelve battalions formed from the Royal Navy personnel who fought as soldiers. While fighting at Gallipoli he received a gunshot wound on the 1st of May 1915 and was taken to a hospital in Alexandria, Egypt where he died on Wednesday the 26th of May 1915. Reginald was 18 years of age and is buried in the Chatby Military Cemetery, Alexandria, Egypt, grave L.127. His name is recorded on the family grave headstone in St. Aidan`s C.E.
