From the Cowley Schools Roll Of Honour:- Enlisted January 1915, as private in Public Schools Battalion, Royal Welsh Fusiliers. Promoted to L/Corp. Afterwards granted Commission as 2/Lieut in 10th Welsh Regiment. Served in France. Whilst returning from duty was sniped and killed instantaneously. Interred at Rue de Bois Cemetery, near Raconteur.
