There is a Thomas H Meek, a 15 year old Labourer, living with his Aunt Emma Bowen at 22, Havelock STreet, St Helens in the 1911 census. A Medal Index Card has been located for Thomas H Meek serving as Private 9777 with the South Lancs 2nd Battalion, showing him going overseas in August 1914. This would make him a regular soldier. No death has been identified for "T Meek", nor has it been possible to link the information which has been found with the man named on the cenotaph.
