Wellington DV927 / 'F' of 3 (C)OTU (operational training unit). The Wellington was seen to take evasive action but then crashed into the ground at Swineshead, near Boston in Lincolnshire. All seven on board were killed, including the Sgt Harry Lowe. No details of any follow-up investigation or burials were noted in the ORB (AIR 29/705), but the entry speculates that a failure occurred in the aircraft due to the violent manouvers. 3 Operational Training Unit was a Training unit of RAF Costal Command formed in 1940.
