An escort of Women of the WAAF attended the funeral at the Borough Cemetery yesterday (Thursday) of Aircraft Woman, Margaret Neary of 33 Tarn Grove Mossbank, who passed away on Saturday aged 22 years. ACW 1 Neary was the daughter of Mrs A Neary and the late Mr J Neary and had served in the WAAF for the past 11 months. After attending Holy Cross School she studied at Huyton College, leaving to enlist in the forces. She came home from her unit on December the 12th, but became seriously ill whilst on leave, necessitating her removal to a military Hospital.
